How Decimal Odds Work

Decimal odds are the format you will see most in Bangladesh, and they are the easiest to work with once you know the one rule: the number is your total return per 1 unit staked, stake included.

Reading a price

At odds of 2.10, a ৳100 bet returns ৳210 in total if it wins — that is your ৳100 stake back plus ৳110 profit. Multiply your stake by the decimal to get the total return; subtract the stake to see the profit. That is the whole calculation.

Odds as probability

Divide 1 by the odds to get the implied chance. 2.00 implies 50%, 4.00 implies 25%, 1.50 implies about 67%. This tells you what the bookmaker thinks is likely — and lets you judge whether a price looks generous or mean.

Why it matters

Thinking in probability, not just payout, is what separates steady bettors from chasers. Pair it with a per-match budget and the cricket guide to start sensibly.
